ਇਸ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇ ਹਰਫਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੜਦੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਿਜਰਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਬਿੰਬ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਵਰਸਦੀਆਂ ਕਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਆ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ-ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਮੋਹ-ਭਰੀ ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਤਵੱਕੋ ਵੀ । ਬਿੰਬ ਤੇ ਧੁਨੀ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਅਰਧ-ਚੇਤਨ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਧੁਨੀ ਤੇ ਬਿੰਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਗਲੇ ਸਫਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਛੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ-ਛਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਨਾ, ਇਸ ਅਰਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ।
