ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਭਾਈ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੈ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ बिनु सतिगुर नामु न पाईऐ भाई बिनु नामै भरमु न जाई ॥ Bin saṯgur nām na pāīai bẖāī bin nāmai bẖaram na jāī. ਨਾਨਕ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਕੈਸੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਸਾਲਕੁ ਮਿਤੁ ਨ ਰਹਿਓ ਕੋਈ ॥ ਭਾਈ ਬੰਧੀ ਹੇਤੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਦੀਨੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ नानक दुनीआ कैसी होई॥ सालकु मितु न रहिओ कोई ॥ भाई बंधी हेतु चुकाइआ ॥ दुनीआ कारणि दीनु गवाइआ ॥ Nānak ḏunīā kaisī hoī. Sālak miṯ na rahio koī. Bẖāī banḏẖī heṯ cẖukiā. Ḏunīā kāraṇ ḏīn gavāiā. O Nanak, what has happened to the world? There is no guide or friend. There is no love, even among brothers and relatives.
