ਨਾਨਕ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਕੈਸੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਸਾਲਕੁ ਮਿਤੁ ਨ ਰਹਿਓ ਕੋਈ ॥ ਭਾਈ ਬੰਧੀ ਹੇਤੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਦੀਨੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ नानक दुनीआ कैसी होई॥ सालकु मितु न रहिओ कोई ॥ भाई बंधी हेतु चुकाइआ ॥ दुनीआ कारणि दीनु गवाइआ ॥ Nānak ḏunīā kaisī hoī. Sālak miṯ na rahio koī. Bẖāī banḏẖī heṯ cẖukiā. Ḏunīā kāraṇ ḏīn gavāiā. O Nanak, what has happened to the world? There is no guide or friend. There is no love, even among brothers and relatives. ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਦਯੁ ਸਮਾਲੀਐ ॥ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਮਨਹੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਐ ॥ नित नित दयु समालीऐ ॥ मूलि न मनहु विसारीऐ ॥ Niṯ niṯ ḏayu samālīai. Mūl na manhu visārīai. Continually, continuously, remember the Merciful Lord.
