ਮਾਤ ਗਰਭ ਮਹਿ ਆਪਨ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਦੇ ਤਹ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਪਾਵਕ ਸਾਗਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਲਹਰਿ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਰਹੁ ਤਾਰਨਹਾਰੇ ॥ मात गरभ महि आपन सिमरनु दे तह तुम राखनहारे ॥पावक सागर अथाह लहरि महि तारहु तारनहारे ॥ Māṯ garabẖ mėh āpan simran ḏe ṯah ṯum rākẖanhāre. Pāvak sāgar athāh lahar mėh ṯārahu ṯāranhāre. In our mother's womb, You blessed us with Your meditative remembrance, and You preserved us there. ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸਾਚ ਸਿਉ ਸਾਸੁ ਨ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕੋਇ ॥ मनु तनु सीतलु साच सिउ सासु न बिरथा कोइ ॥ Man ṯan sīṯal sācẖ sio sās na birthā koe. One whose mind and body are cooled and soothed by the True Lord-no breath of his is wasted. ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਠੰਢੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਆਸ ਭੀ ਬੇਅਰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ। SGGS pp 35, Guru Amar Das Ji

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥ भाई रे तनु धनु साथि न होइ ॥ राम नामु धनु निरमलो गुरु दाति करे प्रभु सोइ ॥ Bẖāī re ṯan ḏẖan sāth na hoe. Rām nām ḏẖan nirmalo gur ḏāṯ kare parabẖ soe. O Siblings of Destiny, this body and wealth shall not go along with you. The Lord's Name is the pure wealth; through the Guru, God bestows this gift. ਹੇ ਵੀਰ! ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇ ਦੌਲਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦੌਲਤ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। SGGS pp 62, Guru Nanak Dev Ji

ਸਾਧੂ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥ साधू सतगुरु जे मिलै ता पाईऐ गुणी निधानु ॥ Sāḏẖū saṯgur je milai ṯā pāīai guṇī niḏẖān. One who meets with the Holy True Guru finds the Treasure of Excellence. ਜੇਕਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ-ਸਰੂਪ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ, ਤਦ, ਉਹ ਉੱਚੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ (ਹਰੀ) ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। SGGS pp 21, Guru Nanak Dev Ji

ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚੀਐ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਜਿ ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥ हरि धनु संचीऐ भाई ॥ जि हलति पलति हरि होइ सखाई ॥ Har ḏẖan sancẖīai bẖāī. Jė halaṯ palaṯ har hoe sakẖāī. So gather in the wealth of the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny, so that in this world and the next, the Lord shall be your friend and companion. ਹੇ ਵੀਰ! ਤੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ। SGGS pp 734, Guru Ram Das Ji
